Over many years, we have developed an atmosphere and curriculum here at St. John’s School for Little Children that promotes academic growth, helps the children become enthusiastic learners and get along well with others. We strive to teach them how to learn, a skill to use for their lifetimes.
A high quality early childhood program should provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of young children while responding to the needs of their families. We strive to make this happen here at St. John’s School. At any given age level our program offers an environment filled with a variety of choices for age-appropriate activities while accommodating individual needs.
We maintain a low student to teacher ratio in all aspects of our program. Providing an environment that is safe and filled with attentive, caring people is paramount. Today our average enrollment is around 100 students. Each class (with the exception of Kindergarten) has a teacher and an assistant in the classroom at all times and no more than 14 students. Our Kindergarten class has a limit of 12.
